Verification courses

If the creative position designs the product, the verification role ensures that the product meets the highest quality standards before reaching the customer. The most important purpose of the verification position is not just to find bugs (design errors) but to ensure that the design functions perfectly according to the requirements. This means not only that the design functions correctly but that other parameters such as processing performance, response speed, etc., (if applicable) are also met.

The Verification Training Program, designed by the Phenikaa Semiconductor Training Center, is a comprehensive and in-depth program tailored to meet the urgent needs of the modern semiconductor industry. With a curriculum transferred from Synopsys—the world's leading EDA (Electronic Design Automation) corporation—the course enhances professional capabilities and hands-on verification skills, meeting the stringent recruitment demands of leading semiconductor companies.

Course Objectives:

Provide comprehensive knowledge and skills in Verification:

  • Understand the entire process and methods for verifying IP and digital chips, including:
– Simulation-based Verification.
– Formal Verification.
– Static Verification.
– Verification Planning & Methodology.

  • Master advanced EDA tools widely used in the industry, including:
– Synopsys VCS.
– Synopsys Questa.
– Synopsys Coverity.
– Synopsys Vera.

Course Outcomes:

With the methodically developed skills, learners who complete the Verification course will be well-equipped to meet the rigorous demands of the Verification role in the semiconductor industry:

  • Programming Skills:
+ Proficient in scripting languages, enabling the automation of tasks and optimization of work efficiency.

  • Verification Practice Skills:
+ High proficiency in SystemVerilog, a tool widely used for developing testbenches, test scenarios, and test cases.
+ Strong grasp of the UVM environment, facilitating efficient testbench construction and management.

  • Test Development Capabilities:
+ Ability to independently develop complete tests from scratch, meeting verification requirements for low-complexity designs.
+ Effective debugging skills, capable of identifying and resolving IP core errors based on self-developed tests.

Course Content: 8 core modules

Training Duration: 4 months

Note: Students can choose some modules from these modules. PSTC can design a separate program, optimized for the needs of each business based on the framework program shown here.
